OMAHA, Neb. -- The Western Michigan hockey team dropped its third straight game at the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Pod, with an 8-2 loss to No. 1 North Dakota on Sunday afternoon.
WMU picked up goals by seniors Paul Washe and Josh Passolt but were outshot 35-18 on the day.
North Dakota scored the first three goals in span of less than two minutes from 6:45 to 8:28 in the first period to build an early lead. The Fighting Hawks added another goal before the period break. UND added three more goals to take a 7-0 lead midway through the second period.
