After a promising first half, the Western Michigan Broncos fell to Brigham Young University during the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 21.
The 49-18 bowl game loss is the Broncos second in recent years, after the 2017 Cotton Bowl Classic against the Wisconsin Badgers.
The Broncos end their 2018 season 7-6, an improvement on their 6-6 record in 2017. Coach Tim Lester ends the season with a two year contract extension, and $49,250 in bonuses.
