BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Western Michigan men's basketball team dropped its first road game of the season, 91-82, at Campbell on Sunday afternoon.
Jalen Griffith led Western Michigan (1-2) with 19 points in the contest and also handed out a career-high seven assists. Joining Griffith in double-figures for the Brown and Gold were Trey Lewis and Declan Peterson, who netted 10 points apiece. Peterson's 10 points came on 5-for-5 shooting from the field. Lewis and Michael Sulaka paced WMU on the glass with six rebounds apiece.
The Broncos started the game with a flourish, as Griffith lobbed one up to Jayden Brewer who threw it down with authority for the game's first points.
