Broncos Drop First Meet at Home This Season to Kent State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team snapped its two-meet winning streak on Sunday, falling to Kent State with a score of 195.575-194.975 inside University Arena for its annual Pink Meet. The Broncos are now 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.

After a tough meet in unfamiliar territory last time out, Western Michigan improved on all but one of their events on Sunday but were only able to win vault against the Golden Flashes. Four different Broncos led in each event highlighted by freshman Sarah Shirley garnering her first win on vault with a career-high 9.
