KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team dropped its first contest at home this season to the hands of Illinois-Chicago with a score of 4-3 on Thursday afternoon. The Broncos have now lost their last three, falling to 7-7 overall and 5-1 inside West Hills.

"The week off from competing definitely did not help us today," commented WMU head coach Ryan Tomlinson. "We came out flat in doubles and were playing catch up from then on. UIC is a good team that came into our place and out competed us.
