KALAMAZOO, MICH. – Western Michigan men's basketball outscored Northwood, 54-18 in the paint on Saturday afternoon inside University Arena en route to a convincing 88-59 victory. The win gives the Broncos their 60th non-conference home win under head coach Steve Hawkins and eighth straight victory at home overall.
It was a total team effort for the Broncos as 12 of the 13 players that found the court scored. WMU shot a season-high 54.7 percent (35-of-64) from the floor while going 12-of-14 from the free-throw line. The brown and gold connected on a season-low four three-pointers but dominated the Timberwolves in the paint, 54-18.
