Broncos Defeat Central Michigan on the Road in OT, 91-82

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.- The Western Michigan basketball team tied the NCAA Division I record for most points in an overtime, pouring in 26 during extra play to put away rival Central Michigan on the road, 91-82.

With the victory, the Broncos clinched the No. 10 seed in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament which begins with first round games on Monday. The Broncos will be at No. 7 seed Northern Illinois. WMU and NIU split regular season meetings this year, with each team winning on its home floor.

WMU sophomore point guard Thomas Wilder led Western Michigan with 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
