Western Michigan football running back LeVante Bellamy, who leads the nation in rushing touchdowns, was contained by Ohio’s defense for four quarters on Tuesday night. But that did not matter.
The senior running back found the end zone from four yards out on an outside run off the right side in overtime to seal a 38-34 WMU victory for their first road win of the season. The win gives the Broncos sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference West division for the time being.
The Broncos dominated the first half of play, but had very little to show for it early on.
