COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan hockey's Cedric Fielder and Cameron Rowe have earned National Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Week honors after their performances in WMU's split with No. 13/12 Notre Dame over the weekend.
Fiedler earns NCHC Defenseman of the Week after netting two goals in Saturday's win over the Fighting Irish and finishing +3 in the shutout. Fielder also helped hold UND to just two goals on Friday and helped the penalty kill go a perfect 4-for-4 on Saturday. He gave the Broncos an early 1-0 lead on his first collegiate goal at 10:06 in the first period.
