Broncos Blank River Hawks in Series Finale

LOWELL, Mass. – The Western Michigan hockey team dominated UMass Lowell on Saturday night at the Tsongas Center, claiming a 6-0 victory.

Ty Henricks and William Whitelaw lit the lamp twice, while Liam Valente and Samuel Sjolund each scored once. Hampton Slukynsky made 19 saves in net to earn his first shutout of the season.

FIRST PERIOD
After a big save from Slukynsky to open the game, Lowell was sent off for too many men on the ice. WMU peppered shots on net, but UML goaltender Austin Elliott stood tall and helped the River Hawks get back to even strength.
