DETROIT, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team battled Detroit Mercy to a 1-1 tie on the road at Titan Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Indiana transfer Bria Telemaque scored the lone goal for the Broncos (0-2-1), with graduate student Hannah Sargent making three saves. Western Michigan outshot Detroit Mercy 19-10 overall and had a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
"We felt like we played a very good first half in which we dominated the tempo of the game and should have been two or three goals ahead," said head coach Lewis Robinson.
