KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team battled Toledo to a 1-1 tie at the WMU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
After scoreless first period the Broncos (2-1-2) took a 1-0 lead on third goal of the season. WMU had a corner kick and played it short. Freshman right back crossed the ball to the far left side of the post. The ball bounced on the ground and to the feet of Shibukawa and she fired a low shot that ricocheted off a Rocket defender and into the net in the 57th minute.
