The Western Michigan University volleyball team wrapped up their regular season tournament schedule by winning two of three matches at the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational at Michigan State University.
On Friday, September 14, the Broncos defeated the University of Alabama-Birmingham 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21). On Saturday, September 15, the Broncos split their doubleheader, winning their first match against the University of Albany, 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-20), and dropping their final match against the Spartans, 3-1 (19-25, 22-25, 25-14, 20-25).
The Broncos head into Mid-American Conference play with an overall 10-4 record, the best non-conference record in the MAC, one game ahead of 9-4 Ball State University.
