The Western Michigan University volleyball team has had a great opening to their 2018 season, and it continued this past weekend in the Delta Hotel by Marriott Kalamazoo Conference Center Tournament on their home court in University Arena.
The Broncos finished with a 3-1 record on the weekend. On Friday, September 7, they defeated the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the morning session, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-19), and dropped a 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 24-26) decision to Loyola University Chicago in the evening session to end their then-six-match winning streak. On Saturday, September 8, WMU swept Canisius College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-14) and pulled out a 3-2 (25-12, 18-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-8) victory against Utah State University.
