Grant had gone through a lot the past couple of weeks; he missed a short game-winning kick against the University at Buffalo in a game that Western ultimately won, and he missed a couple of short field goals in a loss to the University of Akron last week, as well as some off the field issues as well.
Though he missed a 37-yard field goal at the end of regulation that would’ve won the game for Western, he hit a 36-yarder in the second quarter, and he hit 21-yarder in overtime that ended up being the game-winner.
“I felt bad for him on the last one; he really got ahold of it.
