Bronco Hockey Sweeps No. 4/3 Denver

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The 13th-ranked Western Michigan hockey team completed the sweep of No. 4/3 Denver after another dominant performance in a 5-1 win in front of a sellout crowd at Lawson Ice Arena on Saturday night.

Five different Broncos netted goals, while Trevor Gorsuch made 19 of his 36 saves in the third period to earn his 13th win of the season. WMU's power play continued its hot streak, going 2-for-5 on the night while the penalty kill finished 7-for-8.

Josh Passolt gave the Broncos (15-8-1, 8-5-1-1 NCHC) an early 1-0 lead on a power play goal at 5:59 in the first period.
