KALAMAZOO, MIch. - The Western Michigan hockey team has jumped into both national polls after sweeping No. 1 Denver. WMU comes in at 15 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and 18 in the USCHO.com polls.
The Broncos (5-3-1, 2-0-0-0 NCHC) swept the defending national champions in dramatic fashion with wins of 6-5 and 7-4. Western Michigan erased deficits in both, trailing 4-2 on Friday and 3-0 on Saturday. This is the first appearance for WMU in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll this season.
