Bronco hockey falls in season opener 4-3

The Broncos fell to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by a score of 4-3 in their annual “Battle for the Boarder.” This was their one and only exhibition game of the season.

The Broncos welcomed a few new faces to the ice for the first time in Saturday’s exhibition match up. Freshman forwards Lawton Courtnall, Hugh McGing and Wade Allison, freshman defenseman Cam Lee, freshman goaltender Ben Blacker, as well as sophomore forward Richard Zehnal. The Bronco hockey family also welcomed a new assistant coach Todd Krygier.

“We have a lot of new players in the line up, there’s no doubt about it,” head coach Andy Murray said.
