KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Dawson DiPietro scored his first two collegiate goals and Ben Blacker made 32 saves as Western Michigan battled No. 15 Clarkson to a 2-2 tie at Lawson Ice Arena on Friday night.
Hugh McGing also scored in the exhibition 3-on-3 overtime for WMU.
The Broncos (2-1-1) jumped out to a very early 1-0 lead on DiPietro's first collegiate goal just 1:33 into the first period. Colt Conrad played the puck to DiPietro and the sophomore ripped a shot on net from the right circle.
