KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Led by 15 student-athletes who earned Scholastic All-America Awards for 2018-19 from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), the Western Michigan gymnastics team ranked second in the country in the WCGA's team GPA rankings, released by the organization Monday.
Of the Broncos' 17 gymnasts, 15 were honored for having 3.5 or higher GPA while the team combined for a team GPA of 3.7495, which trailed only Boise State nationally. It is the second consecutive year Western Michigan has placed second in the country in team GPA. It also marks the seventh-straight campaign in which the Broncos have led the Mid-American Conference in team GPA.
