PORTAGE, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's golf team earned the overall team win at its home fall tournament on Tuesday.
Despite an almost two-hour rain delayed start to the third round, the Broncos kept pace at the top of the standings at Moors Golf Club on Tuesday. With a total score of 926 (+62) with rounds of 301-302-323, WMU tied with the Dayton Flyers who also carded a total score of 926. But sophomore Saanvi Venkatesh earned the Brown and Gold the tournament title with a 56-hole score of 241 in 25th place compared to Dayton's fifth golfer's score of 246 to give Western Michigan the tiebreaker.
