“I think there’s a lot of good to take from [the game], but there’s also been a lot of growth we need to go through to grow as a team,” Head Coach Tim Lester said. “We need to have some shared adversity, and it’s a good thing. I thought we came out fighting, and there’s a lot of fight in this team, and we’ve just got to continue to grow.”
The offense showed the growth needed as Lester spoke of, being out-gained by MSU by just under 300 yards. Though they only had one turnover, they also only had 11 first downs, while MSU had 21.
