KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's basketball program and head coach Dwayne Stephens have announced the signing of Declan Peterson, a transfer from the University of Calgary. Peterson is the ninth newcomer the Broncos have signed for the 2025-26 season, joining fellow transfers Jalen Griffith, Trey Lewis, Hudson Ward and Justice Williams, as well as incoming freshmen Sharod Barnes (Ypsilanti, Mich.), Brady Swartz (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Camden Thompson (Whitehall, Mich.) and Carson Vis (Byron Center, Mich.).
"Declan is a uniquely gifted big man with his size, footwork, touch around the rim and high basketball IQ," Coach Stephens said.
