In the first game of the doubleheader, the Boilermakers bested the Broncos in a 5-1 win. Jack Szott, the 6’4” redshirt sophomore started for WMU. He lasted four innings, had four earned runs, gave up five hits, and had three strikeouts.

When Szott was taken out, redshirt senior Andrew Reisinger came in and threw four solid innings. Reisinger allowed two hits with one earned run. The Bronco offense didn’t have the spark they needed, as they struck out 11 times during game one.

Game two, unfortunately, was not much better. Purdue beat WMU 5-1 once again, as runs were hard to come by.
