TOLEDO, Ohio – The Western Michigan baseball team dropped a 1-0 game on the road to Toledo Friday night, as pitching dominated for both squads all game.

"It was a great day to pitch. Wind blowing straight in and cold temperatures," head coach Billy Gernon said. "We didn't show enough patience today and didn't make the necessary adjustments to the weather and what type of pitcher we were facing. Piechota was outstanding on the mound for us."
Both teams finished with four hits, but Toledo was able to push one run across in the bottom of the fourth inning.
