KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team and head coach Kate Achter have announced the hiring of Audra Emmerson to the position of Assistant Coach.
Emmerson joins the Broncos after wrapping up her playing career at Purdue Fort Wayne this past season. Emmerson played four seasons with the Mastodons, seeing action in 133 games while starting in 91. She started and played in every game as a junior and senior. Emmerson was known for her shooting range, making 210 baskets from beyond the mark in her career.
"I truly believe it is my job to help position young women to find success and I love hiring people who have played at a high level and know what it takes to win games," said Achter.
