COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan junior defenseman Ronnie Attard and freshman forward Max Sasson have both earned Bauer NCHC Weekly Honors with Attard earning Defenseman of the Week and Sasson earning Rookie of the Week.
This is the second Bauer NCHC Defenseman of the Week Award for Attard, who tallied five points in WMU's sweep of Colorado College. In Friday's 8-2 win he had four points on three goals and an assist, netting his second career hat trick and second of the season. Philadelphia Flyers' draft pick netted WMU's first, fifth and sixth goals of the game and assisted on the team's fourth goal.
