CLEVELAND -- Western Michigan senior Anton Arzhankin has been voted the 2025 Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year, while sophomore Ashton Adesoro as been named Second Team All-MAC.
Arzhankin went 8-1 in MAC singles play this season, all at No. 1. His lone loss came because of a withdrawal due to injury. The Moscow, Russia, native went 21-3 overall in singles matches during the Spring and 36-6 including the Fall competition. The 36 wins is a new single-season record, surpassing WMU Hall of Famer Fernando Garcia and Mike Kiewiet's previous mark of 34.
