KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan senior gymnast Amanda Gruber has been recognized as a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient for the 2023-24 academic year.
Gruber receives $10,000 toward the pursuit of an advanced degree in graduate or professional school. The NCAA wards 42 total postgraduate scholarships during the season, with 21 men and 21 women being honored. The student-athletes are evaluated on academics, athletics and community service.
"For the last five years Amanda has been both an exceptional student and gymnast for our program," said head coach Penny Jernigen. "Her work ethic and desire to improve has been instrumental in our success and we are so very proud of her.
