Allison takes the road less traveled in hockey career, for a Canadian

Allison was drafted twice in 2012. He was taken 144 overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League and then 15 overall by the Swan Valley Stampeders in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. However, Allison decided to not go with either and found himself in a less than stellar situation.

“I didn’t have a great situation back in Manitoba. I was training in Minnesota and a guy by the name of David Wilkie said ‘Hey, I want you to play on my team this year’ So, I was like, I’ll give it a try,” Allison said.
