A 'hidden gem' no more, WMU left tackle Jaylon Moore ready to shine

KALAMAZOO, MI - A hidden gem can only hide it its shine for so long, and it looks like 2018 is the year Western Michigan offensive tackle Jaylon Moore puts his skill on display.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound redshirt sophomore has stepped into the left tackle position vacated by Pittsburgh Steelers third-round draft pick Chukwuma Okorafor, and early signs against the Broncos first team defense indicate a bright future.

"Jaylon Moore, he's done a good job," WMU head coach Tim Lester said. "(Redshirt freshman) Dylan Deatherage has rotated with him a little bit, but he's definitely the guy.
