After a 7-3 record through the first 10 conference matches, the Broncos were seen as surprise contenders for the Mid-American Conference West Division title. They were a force to be reckoned with at home, with five of those seven wins at University Arena, and held their own on the road, with a 2-3 record.
However, the Broncos lost five of their last six matches, and fell from a potential top seed in the MAC Tournament, all the way to the sixth seed, and almost not making it to the tournament at all by one game.
WMU will hope to get back on track for their opening round tournament matchup against rival Central Michigan University on Thursday at 7 p.
