Taywan Taylor won’t have to go far for his NFL career. The Western Kentucky great is heading an hour south to Nashville.
The wide receiver Taylor was selected No. 72 overall Friday night by the Tennessee Titans. He’s the second-highest draft pick in WKU history, second only to teammate Forrest Lamp, who was picked at No. 38 earlier in the night by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Taylor joins former WKU running back Antonio Andrews on Tennessee’s roster. The Louisville native is the first Hilltopper taken by the Titans organization since Eddie Preston, who went No. 301 in 1980 when the franchise was known as the Houston Oilers.
