Coach Tyson Helton secured a pair of scholarship commitments Sunday as Western Kentucky closes in on Wednesday’s signing day.
Wide receiver Manny Allen (Rancho Verde High School, Moreno Valley, Calif.) and offensive lineman Garrett Nickelson (Blinn College, League City, Texas) announced verbal pledges to WKU.
Allen and Nickelson’s announcements give WKU 15 public commits in its Class of 2019. Allen is expected to sign a national letter of intent Wednesday.
