GLASGOW — Rick Stansbury has been making his best pitch to basketball recruits practically from the day he was hired as Western Kentucky’s men’s basketball coach in March.
On Thursday, Stansbury was still pitching for WKU – but it wasn’t a point guard or a power forward he was trying to lure to campus. Instead, Stansbury spent nearly an hour laying out his vision for the men’s basketball program to members and guests of the Glasgow Rotary Club.
What Stansbury wants to see is a packed house for every home game at E.A. Diddle Arena, something he grew accustomed to during his final 11 seasons as the head coach at Mississippi State.
