Western Kentucky graduate transfer quarterback Tyler Ferguson was well aware of the Hilltoppers before he went to the University of Louisville.
Ferguson was recruited by then-WKU coach Bobby Petrino in 2013, then followed Petrino to Louisville when the coach began his second stint with the Cardinals.
Ferguson's knowledge of the Tops was fuzzy then, but he and many others have wised up since.
"I knew what WKU was the first time around, but I didn't really know much about it," Ferguson said in an interview with the Daily News. "I remember Petrino called me and actually left me a voicemail back when I was at Penn State.
