Western Kentucky President Gary Ransdell kept his comments brief Sunday, but did express satisfaction with how athletic director Todd Stewart is handling a time-crunched and sudden men's basketball coaching search with large interest.
Ransdell again declined to comment to the Daily News on the basketball suspension Thursday of guards Fredrick Edmond, Chris McNeal and Marlon Hunter after the outcome of a University Disciplinary Committee hearing Wednesday night.
No information concerning the disciplinary charges or outcome will be released by the university, which cited federal privacy law for its silence. All three players were still listed as enrolled students as of Friday.
