WKU's Johnson named C-USA Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas — On the heels of his four straight double-doubles, WKU junior forward Justin Johnson was named Conference USA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the league office.

Johnson is WKU’s first weekly award winner this season and the Hilltoppers’ first overall since George Fant shared the honor on Jan. 12, 2015. This is the first time a WKU player has claimed player of the week honors outright since the program joined C-USA.

Johnson – a 6-foot-7 forward from Hazard, Ky. – averaged 17.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.
