Western Kentucky's Kaelin Grimes has been named one of 14 recipients of the Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service Award as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Grimes is one of four volleyball players to be honored, tying cross country for the most honorees by sport.
The C-USA Spirit of Service award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport.
Grimes, a Louisville native, spends time as a member of the Outreach Committee at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church on the WKU campus.
