WKU to run in Louisville Cross Country Classic

For the first time of the 2017 season, Western Kentucky's cross country team will stay in-state as the Hilltoppers will head up to the 16th Annual Louisville Cross Country Classic hosted Saturday by the Louisville Sports Commission.

Nearly 3,000 collegiate athletes are expected to represent more than 140 colleges and universities from 30 states and Canada at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

This year’s field will be comprised of 42 men’s teams and 41 women’s teams that are currently ranked in the NAIA and NCAA national cross country polls this season. In total, 50 NCAA Division I teams are listed in the field as WKU will be joined by elite company.
