Conference USA announced on Wednesday its preliminary television schedule including eight games on national television featuring Western Kentucky.
The defending C-USA champion Hilltoppers open the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 1 against league foe Rice on CBS Sports Network in a 7 p.m. kickoff. As announced on Tuesday, WKU travels to defending national champion Alabama in Week 2 for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN 2.
A pair of WKU home games had their kickoff times adjusted to accommodate for television. WKU now hosts Vanderbilt at 3:30 p.m., and FIU at 4:30 p.m.
WKU will appear on CBS Sports Network a total of three times, ESPN networks and the American Sports Network (ASN) twice each and beIN SPORTS, the league’s newest media partner, once, against FIU.
