WKU suffers first conference loss in front of near-record crowd

Three teams now sit atop Conference USA with one loss after Middle Tennessee State(14-5, 6-1 C-USA) took down WKU (14-6, 6-1 C-USA) by a score of 66-62 in front of 7,759 fans in Diddle Arena.

The Blue Raiders garnered a seven-point halftime lead and never gave it up. MTSU’s Nick King scored a game high 28 points while Graduate transfer forward Dwight Coleby scored 19 points to lead WKU. Senior forward Justin Johnson (15 points) and freshman guard Taveion Hollingsworth (12 points) also broke double figures for WKU.
