The Hilltoppers took to the practice field at Houchens-Smith Stadium for the first time since coach Jeff Brohm told the team Monday morning that he was leaving to take the job at Purdue.
It was also WKU’s first practice since winning the Conference USA championship last weekend and its first to get ready for Dec. 20’s Boca Raton Bowl.
“We just wanted to get out here, shake the rust off and get prepared,” linebacker Keith Brown said.
The Toppers (10-3) had most of the week off, with players taking finals and assistant coaches on the road recruiting.
