Two more Western Kentucky players will miss the rest of the 2017 season due to injuries sustained Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Running back Quinton Baker is done with an upper-body injury, while linebacker/defensive end Demetrius Cain will miss the remaining schedule with a lower-body injury, coach Mike Sanford said Monday at the Hilltoppers’ weekly news luncheon.
That group includes WKU’s star quarterback, Mike White. The redshirt senior was sacked five times Saturday in the 31-17 loss at Vandy and left late in the fourth quarter after being pulled down on a scramble toward the Hilltopper sideline.
Other Tops listed by Sanford as day-to-day include tight end Deon Yelder, wide receivers Cameron Echols-Luper and Kylen Towner, linebackers Daeshawn Bertram and Masai Whyte and safety Devon Key.
