WKU projected as an 11-seed

The Western Kentucky women’s basketball team was picked as an 11th seed in the NCAA Tournament bracket projections released Tuesday by ESPN.

ESPN women’s bracketologist Charlie Creme picked the Lady Toppers to make the field with an at-large bid. He had WKU facing sixth-seeded Louisville in a first-round game in Stanford, Calif.

The Lady Toppers (10-2) have an RPI of 45.

Creme also had UTEP in the field as a Conference USA champion. He projected the Miners as a 12th seed.
