Western Kentucky finished the weekend with eight football players in line for a shot to make an NFL roster.
With the obstacles that some of them had to overcome, the pro-bound Hilltoppers feel there's no reason the program shouldn't continue to churn out NFL-level talent.
"Some of the guys are in a better position than I was when I first started, so there should be no excuses," former WKU cornerback Prince Charles Iworah said. "There should be no excuses why you don't play to the best of your abilities – why you shouldn't be a draft pick.
