Western Kentucky pitcher Paul Kirkpatrick was arrested early Sunday morning on a drunken-driving charge.
Kirkpatrick, 21, was processed through the Warren County Regional Jail at 1:15 a.m. Sunday and charged with failure to or improper signal, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was released from jail at 9:03 a.m. Sunday.
A Bowling Green Police Department officer arrested Kirkpatrick at 1:03 a.m. Sunday. The officer observed Kirkpatrick accelerating his vehicle "to a high rate of speed" while traveling along East 13th Avenue before "quickly coming to a stop," per his arrest citation.
