BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Western Kentucky men's basketball team searched for an identity all season.
It turns out being resilient was its calling card.
As the Hilltoppers toiled through a miserable January filled with blowout losses and narrow letdowns, they made a turn for the better when they set out to show people they weren't going quietly into the night.
"I'm proud of them for fighting to the end - not just this game, but the whole season," graduate senior guard Aaron Cosby said. "Everything we've been through, the things we had to overcome, we stayed together and continued to fight.
