CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As Western Kentucky redshirt senior forward Nigel Snipes put it, it's "statement time" for the Hilltoppers.
If they don't make that statement this week, they're going to be in a massive hole.
"We've just got to want it," Snipes said. "That's what it is. If you want it, then everybody will keep their heads up and keep fighting."
WKU (10-10 overall, 2-5 Conference USA) has its back against the wall in the league standings after a disastrous four-game road swing.
The Tops lost 3 of 4 on the trip, including an 88-71 rout at the hands of six-win Charlotte on Saturday.
