WKU has full trust in Lamp as one of nation's top linemen

Western Kentucky's top NFL prospect for 2017 might be one whose name doesn't come up often in the press.

But when the Hilltoppers start talking about who they can trust, redshirt senior left tackle Forrest Lamp's name arises with frequency.

"It's always nice when you look to your blind side, and you know it's protected," redshirt junior quarterback Mike White said. "You don't have to worry about it."

For someone who's started all 39 games he's played on the Hill, Lamp remains fairly under the radar.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound tackle from Venice, Fla., is the anchor of a veteran offensive line that will be expected to bring some steadiness to a WKU offense trying to find its way.
